Boost Your Workout Performance with These Insider Tips!

The gym is isn’t just about mirror selfies and burning calories but... no one actually talks about this.

Psst, it’s your gym-fluenza here with some insider know-how’s on tips to improve your strength and recovery!

One of the most underrated things at the gym that no one tells you about when you start out, is stretching. But as always, I’m here to help improve your overall muscle gains with this one of the most important tips!

Let me introduce you to ✨Mobility Exercises✨

One thing is, we don’t skip mobility in this household. I cannot express how important it is to stretch before and after a workout, both for their own reasons. It’s like preheating an oven before you bake! You’re basically prepping your muscles to function and work better.

While stretching, it is important to remember is the difference between dynamic stretches and static stretches.

Dynamic stretches are controlled movements that help you prepare the muscles of your body by ensuring there is oxygen flow (and you don’t get mid-workout cramps!) so that you get full range of motion for every exercise.

Static stretches are stretches where you lie still and hold a position to improve flexibility, hence aiding your recovery process (reduces post-workout soreness and stiffness)

Some tips:

  1. Remember to take deep inhales and exhales before and after, as you go deeper into the stretches. Breathing is important during stretching too.

  2. Don’t be afraid to hold on to something sturdy if you feel uncomfortable or unstable while getting onto the positions! Over time, it’ll definitely build.

Making time for these exercises will help you lift better, heavier and safer so you can get those big muscles. And yes, mobility takes time, and gets better gradually — so make sure you add this into your daily routine starting now!
